The Flowing

World

对立统一

“Without the presence of stillness, we cannot define what motion is; conversely, if we do not know what motion is, then we cannot recognize what stillness is either.”
.

The Flowing World is an experimental work that combines philosophical principles with photography. I introduce the concept of unity of opposites into photography, exploring the relationship between still images and the passage of time in motion. The inspiration comes from my contemplation of the two forms of photography, photos and videos, and also encompasses my feelings about the changes brought by time, such as impermanence and the transience of human existence. Through this project, I aim to evoke in the audience a sense of the relentlessness of time, awakening an appreciation for the present moment and for the people around us.

In the realm of photography, still images coexist with the ceaseless evolution of videos. Can the tranquil present moment and the tumultuous flow of life exist simultaneously as well?

“静止的照片与不停变化的录像同时存在于摄影之中,静止的当下与滚滚流动的人生又是否可以同时拥有?”
